Basmati Rice is a variety of long grain rice grown in India note able for its aromatic fragrance and authentic flavour. It means "the
fragrant one " in Sanskrit, and also means "the soft rice ", India is the
largest cultivator and exporter of Basmati Rice.
It is primarily grown through paddy field farming in the most fertile fields in Punjab region.
